Troy was born in 1886.  Troy's father was Curtis C. Isaacs and his mother was Susan Jane Bicknell.  His maternal grandparents were Tyre Bicknell and Mariam Willis.  He was the second of nine children.  He had six brothers and two sisters, named Walter, Leonard, Wilyus, James E., Wilson, Albert, Florence and Claudia.  He died at the age of 87 in 1973.
