Larry Ross was born in 1937.  Larry Ross' father was Farris Gilbert Gentry and his mother was Carrie Isaacs.  His maternal grandparents were Irvin Isaacs and Cordelia Asbell.  He is the youngest of eight children.  He had two brothers and five sisters, named William Alson, Herbert Lee, Vola Kathleen, Mary Delia, Hilda Frances, Beatrice Irene and Edith Marie.
