Herbert Lee was born in 1928.  Herbert Lee's father was Farris Gilbert Gentry and his mother was Carrie Isaacs.  His maternal grandparents were Irvin Isaacs and Cordelia Asbell.  He was the sixth of eight children.  He had two brothers and five sisters, named Larry Ross, William Alson, Vola Kathleen, Mary Delia, Hilda Frances, Beatrice Irene and Edith Marie.  He died at the age of 63 in 1991.
