Rosa was born on July 10th, 1910 in , Jackson, KY, USA.  Rosa's father was Huston F. Bicknell and her mother was Sarah Jane Isaacs.  Her paternal grandparents were Tyre Bicknell and Mariam Willis; her maternal grandparents were Linville Isaacs and Nancy Elizabeth Asbell.  She was the tenth of twelve children.  She had two brothers and nine sisters, named Alson, Frederick, Endis, Myrtle, Mafrey, Cordelia, Laura A., Minnie, Mattie, Hallie and Eva Francis.  She had a half-brother named Carman H..  She died at the age of 84 on July 22nd, 1994 in , Bourbon, KY, USA.  Her burial was on July 25th, 1994 in Richmond Cemetery, Richmond,  Madison, KY, USA.
