Kenneth Elby was born in 1913.  Kenneth Elby's father was John Sherman Bicknell and his mother was Lucy Azbill.  His paternal grandparents were Sylvester W. Bicknell and Nancy Rose Bicknell; his maternal grandparents were Linsfield Asbell and Ona Frances Gentry.  He was the seventh of eight children.  He had four brothers and three sisters, named Virgil, Nelson, James Earl, John Alson, Bertha Frances, Bessy and Nancy Elizabeth.  He died at the age of 21 in 1934.
