William Asbell

William was born in 1789 in , Buncombe, NC, USA. William's father was William Asbell and his mother was Malinda Ross. His paternal grandparents were Joseph Asbell and Dorothy Ross; his maternal grandmother is C Van Gezel. He had a brother and three sisters, named John, Malinda, Mahaly and Mary Nancy. He was the youngest of the five children. He had seven half-brothers and four half-sisters, named Joseph, John, Roy, James, John Samuel, Aaron, Thomas Jefferson, Nancy, Betsy, Lydia Ann and Sarah. He died at the age of 84 on April 6th, 1873 in , Madison, KY, USA. His burial was in April 1873 in Cave Springs, Jackson, KY, USA.
