Geert was born in 1864.  Geert's father was Harmannus Panjer and his mother was Annechien Pathuis. He had three brothers and a sister, named Geert, Berend, Jans and Alberdina.  He was the second oldest of the five children.  He died at the age of 82 in 1946.
