Andries was born on January 11th, 1789 in Zelhem. Andries' father was Hendrikus Wossink and his mother was Berendjen Beeftink.  His paternal grandparents were Lammert  Wossink / Wolzink and Derksken Rozegaarde; his maternal grandparents were Andries Nösselaar (op Beeftink) and Garritjen / Gertjen Beeftink . He had eight brothers and a sister, named Jan, Arnoldus, Garrit, Lammert, Aaltjen, Derk Jan, Wessel, Andries and Anneken.  He was the second oldest of the ten children.  He died before 1804.
