Hendrika was born on November 6th, 1821 in Doetinchem.1  Hendrika's father was Jacobus Jansen and her mother was Johanna Vinkenborg.  Her paternal grandparents were Jan Jansen and Willemke Jansen; her maternal grandparents were Gerrit Jan Vinkenborg and Elsje/ Elsken Berendsen. She had three brothers and five sisters, named Willem, Harmen, Jan, Elisabeth, Elske, Gertjen, Jenneken and Aaltjen.  She was the second youngest of the nine children.  She died at the age of 4 on January 20th, 1826 in Ambt Doetinchem (Doetinchem).2
