Anna was born on February 26th, 1736 in Amsterdam and her baptism took place in Amsterdam, Oude Kerk.1   Her godfather was Isaak van der Sel and her godmother was Martijntje Hendriks. Anna's father was Abraham van der Sel (Zel) and her mother was Antie / Antje Berkhoff.  Her maternal grandparents were Man / Vader Berkhoff and Vrouw / Moeder. She had two brothers named Isaac and Willem.  She was the second oldest of the three children.
