Catrina's father was Casper / Kasper Verdier and her mother was Johanna Jacoba Silo (Cilo / Filo / Cijloo / Sijloo). Her paternal grandparents were Antonis Verdier and Hendrieka van Buuren; her maternal grandparents were Wouter Silo (Sielo / Cijloo / Sielo / Ciloo) and Hendrica (Trijntje) Jacobs Stellingwerff. She had seven brothers and a sister, named Anthonie Hendrikus, Hermannus Johannes, Wouter, Hendricus Jacobus (Johannes), Jacobus Johannes, Abraham Johan, Casper and Johanna Catherina. She died at the age of 64 on June 26th, 1866 in Berlicum.²
