Pieter de Groot was born in 1787 in Beemster.  Pieter de Groot's father was Claas / Klaas Groot (de) and his mother was Aafje Visser. He had a brother and a sister, named Jan and Trijntje.  He was the youngest of the three children.  He died at the age of 52 on May 21st, 1839 in Beemster.1
