Jan was born on May 29th, 1902 in Wilnis, Utrecht.1  Jan's father was Izaäk Nap and his mother was Jannetje van der Horst.  His paternal grandparents were Arie Nap and Cornelia Hoogendoorn; his maternal grandparents were Abraham van der Horst and Jannetje Oudshoorn / Oussoren. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Arie, Cornelis, Cornelia and Mijntje.  Jan and Cornelia were twins.  He died about 1971.
