Robert May

Robert was born on February 24th, 1834 in Pettimuir, Fife, , Scotland. Robert's father was William May and his mother was Cathrane Tod. His paternal grandparents were Kenneth May and Margaret Hempseed; his maternal grandfather is David Tod. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Kenneth, William, Margaret and Isabella. He was the second youngest of the five children.
