Edith was born on May 17th, 1860 in Walkerville, Adelaide, SA.1 Edith's father was Alfred Samuel WARD and her mother was Julia RENDELL. Her maternal grandparents were James RENDELL and Martha MOREY. She had three brothers and seven sisters, named Alaric, Windham, Alfred, Martha, Ellen, Eliza, Louisa, Julia, Alicia and Emma. She was the fourth oldest of the eleven children.-
