Mary's father was John VIPOND and her mother was Mary Elizabeth SAVAGE. Her paternal grandparents were John VIPOND and Mary FISHER; her maternal grandparents were William SAVAGE and Mary Elizabeth CHILLCOTT. She had a brother named William. She was the younger of the two children. She died at the age of 75 on July 12th, 1955 in North Adelaide, SA. She was buried in Medindie, Adelaide, SA.²
