Peter was born on December 14th, 1833 and his christening took place on May 23rd, 1847 in Westminster, London, England.1  Peter's father was Thomas Frederick HIGGINS and his mother was Ann HARRISON. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Frederick, George, Henry, Horatio, Ann, Alicia and Julia.  He was the second oldest of the eight known children.
