Emma's father was Samuel FURNER and her mother was Clara OCKENDEN.  Her paternal grandparents were James FURNER and <Unknown>; her maternal grandparents were Palmer OCKENDEN and Emma MARSHALL. She had two brothers and four sisters, named Samuel, George, Fanny, Clara, Ethel and Miriam.  She was the second oldest of the seven children.  She died at 4 months old on August 20th, 1868 in Moonta, SA.  She was buried on August 21st, 1868 in Moonta, SA.^2 3
