Alfred CHARLTON 
Alfred was born in 1865 in England.1 Alfred's father was William CHARLTON and his mother was Hannah HEWETT. His paternal grandparents were Joel CHARLTON and <Unknown>; his maternal grandparents were James HEWETT and Eliza UNKNOWN. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Henry, William, Frederick, Jessie, Margaret and Frances. He was the second youngest of the seven children.General Notes
Arrived SA 12-11-1876 on board "Sir John Lawrence".
TBD - Alfred Charlton appears in Yatala Labour Prison index - Register of Prisoners 1883-1893. Follow up to determine if this is the same Alfred Charlton.
Alfred does not appear in the 1871 Census record - TBD.
