Alexander was born in 1843 in Scotland.1 Alexander's father was Alexander CATANACH and his mother was Mary UNKNOWN. He had five brothers and two sisters, named George, James, Joseph, John, Thomas, Elizabeth and Priscilla. He had three half-brothers named Hewitt, Charles and <Unknown>.General Notes
