Alfred Ernest BALLANS

Alfred was born on May 26th, 1883 in Adelaide, SA.¹   Alfred's father was Naimby BALLANS and his mother was Martha HELE. He had seven brothers and six sisters, named David, Frederick, Albert, Percival, Charles, Herbert, Lionel, Mary, Edith, Rosa, Henrietta, Blanche and Gladys.  He was the third youngest of the fourteen children.  He died at the age of 74 on March 12th, 1958 in Kent Town, Adelaide, SA.²
