Male Gilbert Illsley

Gilbert was born in 1791 in Church Gresley, Derbyshire, England.  Gilbert's father was Henry Illsley and his mother was Elizabeth Bath.  His maternal grandparents were William Bath and Jane Aney \ Adey. He had six brothers and a sister, named George, Henry, William, Robert, John, Robert and Elizabeth.  He was the fifth oldest of the eight children.  He died at the age of 84 on June 30th, 1875 in Blackfordby, Ashby de la Zouch, Leicestershire/Derbyshire, England.  His burial was on July 3rd, 1875 in Parish Church, Blackfordby, Ashby de la Zouch, Leicestershire/Derbyshire, England.1 2 

Gilbert's family with Hannah Oldner

Gilbert and Hannah were married in a religious ceremony on February 13th, 1809 in Polesworth, Warwickshire, England.2   They had three sons and four daughters, named Gilbert, Gilbert, William, Elizabeth, Catherine, Maria and Mary.
