John KILLEEN

John was born on May 21st, 1852 in Dubuque, Iowa.¹ John's father was Patrick KILLEEN and his mother was Katherine GILMORE. His paternal grandfather is Edward KILLEEN and his paternal grandmother was Margret UNKNOWN; his maternal grandfather was Patrick GILMORE and his maternal grandmother is BRIDGET. He had six brothers and three sisters, named Edward, Michael, Thomas, Patrick Henery, Frank, James L., Thomas, Ellen (Nellie) and Katherine. He was the oldest of the ten children. He had four half-brothers and a half-sister, named John, Michael, Patrick Henery, James L. and Katherine. He died at the age of 83 on October 19th, 1935 in Vail, Iowa. He was buried on October 22nd, 1935 in Westside Cemetery, Westside, Iowa.¹¹

‌John and Mary Jane were married in a religious ceremony on January 24th, 1885 in Carroll, Iowa.² They had five sons and two daughters, named Edward L., James Matthew, John, Charles Alva, Lester F., Mary Gertrude and Florence.
