William KENNY 
William was born on March 22nd, 1869 in Sturgeon Bay, Door, Wisconsin.1 William's father was Richard P KENNY and his mother was Eliza LOVELY. His paternal grandparents were Thomas KENNY and Elenor PURCELL; his maternal grandparents were Edward LOVELY and Bridget DONNELLY. He had five brothers and four sisters, named Thomas Francis, Richard Lawrence, Edward Joseph, Micheal James, William Frances, Mary Ann, Ellen G, Bridget and Elizabeth. He was the third oldest of the ten children. He died at the age of 10 on November 17th, 1879 in Arcadia, Carroll County, Iowa.1 General Notes
Church records from Champion, in Door Co. show the witness' to Williams baptism were James Kenny and Margaret Hennessey. This record also confirms the birth date at March 22, 1869. (record provided by Chris Surfus)
Name was spelled KENNEY on death marker in Arcadia, IA.
Larry Wagen and I went to Arcadia one day and found this marker. We didn't know at the time that there were two other names on this pillar like sandstone marker. It was badly worn. It wasn't until July of 1997 that my three boy's and I were on our way to St. Paul MN and we detoured our path to see if we could verify some information. My boy's found that there were inscriptions on the other two sides. It was then we found Elizabeth and Bridget.
The parents, Richar and Eliza had three children, William, Bridget and Elizibeth that died within 2 months of each other, with William and Bridget dying within a day of each other, all from Diphitheria
