General Notes

In 1920 he was single at the age of 38.  He remained unmarried, according to Jeanette Gillick

Door County Advocate on November 08, 1946, from Sturgeon Bay, Wis., reads:
John L. Kenny, 64, died suddenly from heart trouble early Wednesday morning, just the day after he had moved into his new home on Hudson Av., Sawyer.  The body was prepared for burial by Stoneman's and funeral services will be held Saturday 9 O'clock at Corpus Christi church with the Rev. James Jacobs officiating.  Interment will be in St. mary's cemetery at Maplewood.  Mr. Kenny was born Dec. 9, 1881, a son of Mr. and mrs. Ed. Kenny, in the town of Nasewaupee.  He lived his entire life there until he moved to the city Tuesday.  He farmed in Nasewaupee until 1936 and then did orchard and shipyard work.  He was a member of the Holy Name society of Corpus Christi church.  Mr. Kenny never married and his sister, Ella, kept house for him.  Besides Ella, four other sisters survive.  They are Mrs. John (Birdie) Kruzich of Caspian, Mich., Mrs. Ed (mary) Moeller of Sevastopol, Mrs. Arthur (Genevieve) St. Germaine of Pinehurt, Idaho and Mrs. Arthur (Grace) Davis of Indiana, Pa.
