Denis KENNY 
Denis was born in 1918 in Kennystown, County Wicklow, Ireland.1 Denis' father was Bartholomew KENNY and his mother was Elizabeth KINSELLA. His paternal grandparents were Richard KENNY and Margaret MCDONNELL; his maternal grandparents are John KINSELLA and Margaret KAVANAGH. He had four brothers and two sisters, named Richard, John, Bartholomew, William, Margaret and Mary. He was the third youngest of the seven children. He died at the age of 77 on June 9th, 1995 in Wicklow border, Ireland. He was buried in June 1995 in Tomacork, County Wiclow, Ireland.1 2 General Notes
According to Batt and Ellen Kenny, of Kennystown, Denis was killed in a car accident. He was not the driver. The accident happened on the Carnew/Gorey road in 1995. It seems that Bridget farrell kenny told me it happened as a car was backing out of a driveway on the Carnew/Tinehely road, right near the kennystown turn off.
Ironically, his grandfather, Richard, also died in a horse and cart accident on the way home from Shillelagh. His neck broke as the cart over turned in ditch near the road.
