SR. CHYBA 
SR. was born on April 8th, 1858 in Moravia, Czechoslovakia.1 SR.'s father was Jacub CHYBA and his mother was Frantiska MALY. He had a brother and two sisters, named Joseph T.(jasper), Frances and Marie F.. He was the second oldest of the four children. He died at the age of 87 on May 1st, 1945 in Plattesmouth, Nebraska. He was buried on May 3rd, 1945 in Plattesmouth, Nebraska, Holy Sep.1 General Notes
Came to America, July, 1877, according to the "little book" of Emma Toman, that Lois Nutzel has. See further things about family in John's father's notes.
Edwin Hiber says it is shown in the New York Passenger List of Czechs arrivals that John CHYBA AGE 18 AND HIS BROTHER JOSEPH CHYBA AGE 16 ARRIVED IN NEW YORK ON THE STEAMER "MAIN" on July 7, 1877 Also shown on this list is their sister Marie, arriving July 25, 1879 on the steamer "Oder" and Emma Toman arrived on the "Pommerania" on July 3, 1877
SR. and Emalie (Emma) were married in a religious ceremony on November 11th, 1882 in Plattsmouth, Nebraska.2 They had three sons and four daughters, named John William (Chyba), Joseph M. (Chyba), Frank Frederick (Chyba), Frances (Chyba), Mary Helen (Marie) (Chyba), Anne Agnes (Chyba) and Eleanor Amelia (Chyba).
