Usha was born in 1949. Usha's father was Mr Ramashraya Prasad Sinha and her mother was Mrs Saraswati Devi (Daughter). Her maternal grandparents are Mr Ishwar Dayal (son) and Mrs W/o Ishwar dayal. She had four brothers and three sisters, named Lal Saheb, Mohini, Avinash, Pal Saheb, Bachchi, Snehlata and Pushpa.
