Miguel Ângelo was born about 1740 in Matriz, Ponta Delgada, ilha de S. Miguel, Açôres - PORTUGAL. Miguel Ângelo's father was João Ângelo Molfini and his mother is D. Bertha Maria Arnaud. His maternal grandparents are Consul Germano Arnaud and D. Maria Francisca. He had a brother named João Angelo. He was the older of the two children. He died on April 7th, 1795 in Conceição, Ribeira Grande, Ilha S.Miguel - AÇÔRES.General Notes

Negociante de panos e como tal foi ao BRASIL em 1767 (ver Boletim Histórico da Ilha Terceira nº. 6 de 1948 pág. 30 "a vender uma carregação de panos de linho e a fazer emprego do produto dela naquele pais" donde voltou em 1775.
