Terezinha de Jesus' father was José Augusto Monteiro de Siqueira and her mother is Aurélia Marcondes Siqueira. Her maternal grandparents were João Marcondes dos Santos and Emiliana Monteiro de Barros Marcondes. She has seven brothers and two sisters, named José Augusto, João Batista, Francisco de Assis, Fernando Antônio, Maria Clara, Marco Antônio, Armando, Maria Auxiliadora and Emiliana.
Terezinha de Jesus and José Ruy were married in a religious & civil ceremony on December 19th, 1965 in Providência; MG. They have a son and a daughter, named José Rui and Monica.
