Emiliano was born on September 25th, 1913 in Laranjal; MG.  Emiliano's father was Júlio César de Miranda Monteiro de Barros and his mother was Marcolina Fernandes da Silva.  His paternal grandparents were Julio César de Miranda Monteiro de Barros and Emiliana de Souza Breves. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Napoleão, Emiliana Júlia, Jesus, Maria Aparecida, Maria and Conceição Aparecida. He had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named Otávio, Júlio César and Maria.

‌Emiliano and Maria da Gloria were married in a religious & civil ceremony on June 24th, 1944 in Volta Grande; MG.  They had a daughter named Diana.
