James Stephens

James was born on March 27th, 1767 in probably Paxton, Lancaster, PA. James' father was Alexander Stephens and his mother was Catherine Baskins. His paternal grandparents were William Stephens and Mary Sampson; his maternal grandparents were James Baskins and Elizabeth Mitchell. He had two brothers and three sisters, named Nehemiah, Andrew Baskins, Jane, Sarah and Mary. He was the second oldest of the six children. He died at the age of 81 on March 23rd, 1849 in Perry co, GA.
