Augusto's father is Antonio Carlos Rodrigues and his mother is Maria Morato Ferraz de Barros.  His maternal grandparents were Manuel Morato de Barros and Gertrudes Ferraz. He has two brothers and four sisters, named Carlos, Virgilio, Luisa, Julia, Maria and Carolina.
