Margaret  was born on April 1st, 1818 in Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland.  Margaret 's father was Thomas Younger and her mother was Margaret Roberton. She had a brother and a sister, named Thomas and Marion.  She was the oldest of the three children.  She died at the age of 58 in 1876.
