Mary Anne was born on May 21st, 1873 in Ythanwells, Aberdeenshire, Scotland.1 Mary Anne's father was Alexander Wishart and her mother was Agnes Watt. Her paternal grandparents were Alexander Wishart and Alicia Ann Taylor. She had three brothers and three sisters, named Alexander Watt, Walter Taylor, John Christie, Martha Paterson, Alicia Gordon and Agnes Gertrude. She was the second youngest of the seven children.-
