David was born in 1871. David's father was Edward Treacher and his mother was Matilda Browning.  His maternal grandparents were George Browning and Ann Needle. He had four brothers and eight sisters, and also a sibling of unknown gender, named Edwin, Samuel, Walter, John Henry, Matilda, Hannah Leah, Ruth Naomi, Ella Elizabeth, Florence Mary, Grace Browning, Esther, "Nellie" and Jesse.  He was the second oldest of the fourteen children.  He died in 1871 in Whych Lane, Gosport, Hampshire, England.  He was buried on December 26th, 1871 in Ann's Hill Cemetery, Gosport, Hampshire, England.
