James Mackie 
James was born on February 10th, 1754 in Dunfermline, Fife, Scotland. James' father was John Mackie and his mother was Agnes Black (Blair). His paternal grandparents were John Mackie and Margaret Reid. He had a brother and three sisters, named John, Isabel , Mary and Agnes. He was the second oldest of the five children.
