David was born on May 23rd, 1706 in Kinglassie, Fifeshire, Scotland. David's father was George Ireland and his mother was Marie Chrystie. His maternal grandparents were James Chrystie and Allison Currer. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Thomas, George, James, John, Marion, Janet and Euphan. He died at the age of 76 on January 3rd, 1783 in Kinglassie, Fifeshire, Scotland.-
