Myrtle Rothes was born on May 9th, 1898 in Bath, Somerset, England and her baptism took place on September 5th, 1898. Myrtle Rothes' father was Dr George Hardyman and her mother was Eglantine Henrietta Keith Lauderdale (Maitland ?). Her paternal grandparents were John Hay Hardyman and Annabella Gibson (Annie) Paton (Forshall). She had six brothers named John Hay Maitland, Malcolm Lauderdale, Harry, Edward Hay, George Hugh Murray and Victor. She was the third oldest of the seven children. She had a half-sister named Constance Christian Beatrice Beath. She died at the age of 89 on March 4th, 1988 in St. Albans, Hertfordshire, England.-
