Jane was born on October 26th, 1859 in Cathcart, Renfrewshire, Scotland.

Birth Notes

Jane's father was Joseph Delgaty and her mother was Catharine McLean. Her paternal grandparents were James Delgaty and Margaret White; her maternal grandparents were Unknown McLean and Annabella Unknown. She had a brother and two sisters, named William, Catherine and Helen. She was the second oldest of the four children. She had four half-brothers and three half-sisters, named James, Henry, John, Joseph, Hannah, Margaret and Agnes.
