Alexander Porteous Crichton 
Alexander was born on March 5th, 1895 in Leslie, Fife, Scotland. Alexander's father was George Crichton and his mother was Christina (Hacker) Walker Porteous. His paternal grandparents were John Crichton and Cecilia Beath; his maternal grandparents were Alexander Porteous and Agnes Walker. He had two brothers and three sisters, named John, George, Agnes, Cecilia and Christina. He was the third oldest of the six children.-
