Abraham was born on April 14th, 1820 in Crich Carr, Derbyshire, England. Abraham's father was Henry Buxton and his mother was Nanny Wheatcroft. His maternal grandparents were Abraham Wheatcroft and Ann Turner. He had six brothers and two sisters, named Samuel, German, David , John, William , Francis Henry, Marianne and Olivia . He was the second youngest of the nine children.-
