James Brown 
James was born in 1872 in Kirkcaldy, Fife, Scotland. James' father was Henry Brown and his mother was Mary Gibb. His maternal grandparents were William Gibb and Elizabeth Anderson. He had two brothers and three sisters, named William, Henry, Elizabeth, Annie and Mary. He was the third youngest of the six children.
