William Beveridge 
William was born on January 8th, 1767 in Habbeshole, Dalgety Bay, Fife. William's father was James Beveridge and his mother was Janet Beveridge. His paternal grandparents were John Beveridge and Grissel (Grisle) Simson (Symsone); his maternal grandparents were James Beveridge and Dorothy Williamson. He had two brothers and two sisters, named John, James, Dorothy and Elisabeth. He was the third oldest of the five children.-
