John Beveridge 
John was born on January 24th, 1777.1 John's father was George Beveridge and his mother was Janet Muir. His paternal grandparents were John Beveridge and Grissel (Grisle) Simson (Symsone). He had two brothers and five sisters, named George, James, Elizabeth, Grissel, Agnes, Janet and Helen. He was the oldest of the eight children.
