Katharine Arbuthnott 
Katharine was born about 1708 in Fordoun, Kincardineshire, Scotland and her baptism took place on August 16th, 1709 in Longside, Aberdeenshire, Scotland. Katharine's father was Hon. John Arbuthnott and her mother was Margaret Falconer . Her paternal grandparents were Sir Robert Arbuthnott (2nd Viscount of Arbuthnott, 2nd Lord Inverbervie) and Catherine Gordon; her maternal grandparents were Sir James Falconer of Pheldo and Elizabeth Trent. She had three brothers and eight sisters, named James, John, Thomas, Elizabeth, Margaret, Jean, Anne, Mary, Thomas, Jean and Catherine. She was the fifth youngest of the twelve children.-
