Henry's father was Frederick Younkin and his mother was Elizabeth ? (Younkin). His paternal grandparents were Frederick G Younkin and Maria Barbara Dieter. He had two brothers and six sisters, named Charles, Nicholas, Anna, Matilda, Hannah, Mary, Sarah and Catharine. He was the sixth oldest of the nine children. He died in 1925.¹
