Frederick was born on November 3rd, 1801 in Milford, Somerset County, Pennsylvania, USA.1   Frederick's father was Frederick G Younkin and his mother was Catherine Patton (Younkin).  His paternal grandparents were Johann Heinrich “Henry” Junghen and Catharina Scherer (Junghen). He had three brothers and eight sisters, named John, Henry, Moses, Christina, Betsy, Magdalena, Catharine, Sally, Nancy, Peggy and Polly. He had a half-brother named Frederick.  He died at the age of 83 on January 23rd, 1885 in Kingwood, Somerset County, Pennsylvania, USA.  He was buried at the Church of God Cemetery, Kingwood, Upper Turkeyfoot Township, Somerset County, Pennsylvania, USA.1 1 

Frederick's first family

Frederick and Mary were married in a religious & civil ceremony on April 14th, 1822 at Sanner Church (St. John's Lutheran Church), Black township, Somerset County, Pennsylvania, USA.1  They had four sons and three daughters, named Michael, Jake, Franklin, John, Mary, Catherine and Agnes.


Frederick's second family

Frederick and Sarah were married in a religious & civil ceremony.1   They had two sons and five daughters, named Frederick, William, Susan, Barbara, Nancy, Salome and Sarah.
