Sarah's father was Samuel Sprecher and her mother was Karolina Raugust (Sprecher). Her paternal grandparents were Christian Albrecht Sprecher and Carolina Fischer (Sprecher). She had seven brothers and four sisters, named Gottfried, Johann, Reinhold, Nathaniel, Gottfried, Samuel, Michael, Simona, Sahra, Salomea and Paulina. She was the nineth oldest of the twelve children.
