Magdalina was born on July 24th, 1878 in Josephdorf, Bessarabia, Russia (now Ukraine).1   Magdalina's father was Gottlieb Reinhold Sprecher and her mother was Karolina Hille (Sprecher).  Her paternal grandparents were Friedrich Jon “Fred” Sprecher and Louise “Christine” Gruning (Sprecher) Grunning. She had five brothers and four sisters, named John, Daniel, Admont, Edward, Fredrich, Friedricka, Christina, Salome and Bertha.  She was the third oldest of the ten children. She had a half-brother named Emanuel.  She died at the age of 94 in 1972 in Parkston, Hutchinson County, South Dakota, USA.1

Magdalina and Simon were married in a religious & civil ceremony after 1895.1
